Cold air intake system
The new system pulls cold air from the air ram duct in the grille and
through the vent below the windshield. The box is sealed to the
underside of the hood and prevents under hood heat from entering the
intake air stream. The filter encapsulated in a fresh air bath. Reducing
inlet air temperatures will create a cooler, denser air charge raising
HP, and torque |

Pulley Removal Tool The pulley puller is made of heat
treated hardened steel. The wrap around design grabs the pulley on all
sides evenly applying force and clamping power. The laser cut stainless
steel handle bolts solidly to the body of the pulley to allow the user
to hold the pulley in place while extracting it form the supercharger
Simply bolt the puller onto
the pulley. Assemble outer piece and handle. Drive center stud with
ratcheting wrench and remove the pulley. It could not be simpler

more then 6.2 lbs lighter then the stock crank pulley. The ALTA pulley

Exhaust System
The exhaust system
directs exhaust gases through large 2.5 inch diameter, high polish,
stainless steel piping. Two strategically placed 2.5 inch in, 2.5 inch
out mufflers Reduce the sound volume down to a low growl while the
strait through design provides maximum air flow.

Header Constructed of high polish 304 stainless steel, the
header features mandrel bent tubing with CNC machined end flanges and
(2) O2 sensor bungs for the OEM O2 sensors.
A 2.5" exhaust outlet, will mate with either the stock or ALTA 2.5"
exhaust system The 4 into 1 design with long primaries creates high flow
rates and high horse power.
Available in two versions. Full race with no catalytic converters or
with a CARB approved (Cat only) high flow metallic catalytic converter

Turbo Kit Featuring a Garrett GT3071R turbo, ALTA has created
an easy bolt on turbo kit for the MINI Cooper S that will produce up to
400 horse power
A 304 stainless steel tubular header directs exhaust gases through a
Garret GT3071R turbo charger and a new 2.5" to 3" polished, stainless
steel, down pipe which bolts to the stock cat back exhaust or any direct
replacement systems. ALTA's placement of the turbo down low in the
engine bay increases clearance for the firewall and under hood
components.
A 5 layer silicone intake hose guides air through a new foam filter
element to the turbo charger. Delivering excellent airflow
the silicone hose smoothly increases in diameter from the 3" filter
opening to the huge 4" turbo inlet housing.
The kit includes: a polished tubular exhaust manifold, polished
mandrel bent down-pipe, Garrett Turbo charger, polished boost tubes,
PERRIN performance blow off valve, oil and water lines, foam filter
element, air box, silicone intake tube

Camshafts
This street performance cam
has been designed to increase horsepower while working with the stock
cylinder head and valve springs. A great way to improve performance
without dissassembling the motor!
Intake: Duration 264, Lift 9.5mm, overlap 0.5, peak
timing 114, open at 18, close at 66.
Exhaust: Duration 272, Lift 9.0mm, overlap 0.65, peak timing 114, open
at 70, close at 22.

Coilover System
The Bilstein PSS 9 Suspension
provides the ultimate in performance tuning. The fully-adjustable
monotube gas shock absorbers offer a selection of nine precise
compression and rebound settings, from comfortable to competition. The
front and rear progressive rate springs allow accurate adjustment of the
vehicle ride height and center of gravity for the level of performance
you seek.

Big Brake Kit
In performance driving you
can spend as much time with your foot on the brake as you do on the gas
(at least in a Solo event). While the stock brakes are impressive for
most street applications it does not take much performance driving
before you note the need for better brakes. This large 4 piston system

Limited Slip Differential
The Quaife Differential
powers both drive wheels under nearly all conditions, instead of just
one. With an ordinary open differential, standard on most cars, a lot of
precious power is wasted during wheelspin under acceleration. This
happens because the open differential shifts power to the wheel with
less grip (along the path of least resistance). The Quaife, however,
does just the opposite. It senses which wheel has the better grip, and
biases the power to that wheel. It does this smoothly and constantly,
and without ever completely removing power from the other wheel. |
