Raise the boiling point of your coolant for
increased cooling efficiency and prevention of over
heating with the Cusco high pressure radiator cap.
Utilizing a reinforced main pressure valve spring and
silicon seals, the internal pressure of the radiator is
increased, resulting in a higher boiling point. When
coolant boils, small air pockets are created. As the
coolant passes through the block and radiator core, the
air pockets reduce the cooling efficiency and will
eventually cause the engine to overheat.
Cusco’s high-pressure radiator
cap operates at 1.3kg/cm2 at zero atmospheric pressure.
In theory, the atmospheric pressure of the road surface
(approximately 1.0kg/cm2) is added and the pressure is
2.3kg/cm2.
Radiator Cooling
Plate
The
radiator is cooled by air passing through the fins on
the core, unfortunately there is a gap between the top
of the radiator and the upper support. This gap will
allow air that could be cooling to escape over the top
of the radiator. The radiator cooling plate eliminates
this problem by directing the air through the radiator,
rather than over. By increasing the air passing through
the radiator, coolant temperatures are kept down on
track runs as well as continuous high speed drives,
which helps to prevent over-heating.
The cooling plate is made of
lightweight aluminum and bolts on in minutes using
standard hand tools. It comes finished in a Cusco blue
color.
*2002~ Subaru Impreza
applications ONLY are offered in your choice of blue or
silver.
Turbo Heat Shield
Help lower your engine bay temperatures with the Cusco
turbo heat shield. Made of stainless steel, this shield
will not rust over time. Laser cut for an exact fit, the
heat shield bolts on in minutes using standard hand
tools.
*Designed to fit the OEM turbo,
may not fit aftermarket ones.
**The silicon throttle body coupler is optional ONLY on
the WRX/STi kit.
Reinforced Radiator
Hose Kit
The
Cusco radiator hose kit is another excellent addition to
the prevention engine overheating. The reinforced
material is strong enough to resist hose collapse during
high-rev, high-speed runs even with the thermostat
removed. You can see the difference between the Cusco
hose kit versus other standard inferior hoses.
Intercooler Water
Spray Controller
Intercooler water sprayer, a great addition to today’s
turbo charged cars. Unfortunately, sometimes it is not
only difficult to push the button during hard driving
but sometimes unsafe. That is where Cusco steps in. The
Cusco unit allows the user to set specific intervals and
rpm levels for the water sprayer to turn on and off.
Whether you want a continuous spray for 30 seconds, an
interval of one spray every 7 seconds, or a combination
of different numbers, this controller has it covered to
keep your intercooler temperatures down to a minimum.
If you don’t have a factory water sprayer, no worries.
You can wire the controller to utilize the windshield
washer reservoir/pump to act as one. Cusco also offers a
nozzle kit to work in these situations that is sold
separately.
Another feature
of the controller is with the optional nozzle kit, the
radiator can be sprayed as well, at the same timing of
the intercooler.
For special
wiring, always have a trained technician install it.
