Engine Position Module (EPM)

 

  • AEM's Engine Position Module (EPM) replaces an engine's distributor and allows for the use of coil-on-plug or wasted-park ignition systems on popular V8 and Honda B-, D-, H-, and F-series race engines. It provides precise engine position using dual zero-speed optical sensors, which offers the advantage of immediate signal generation regardless of engine speed. The EPM easily adapts to any positive-drive, half-engine speed device such as a cam or distributor drive, and can be used with any aftermarket engine management system that recognizes the common 24 & 1 pattern for crank and cam signals.

    Installation is simple via a four-wire connection (12V, ground, crank signal, and cam signal).

Fuel / Ignition Controller (F/IC)

OVERVIEW
The F/IC gives users with OBD-II vehicles and non-factory forced induction systems the ability to retard ignition and deliver accurate amounts of fuel without the need for outdated FMUs or “boost hiding” controllers. This system works parallel to the factory ECU preventing tuning limitations due to complex factory timing patterns and will not cause a check engine light (CEL).

PRECISE FUEL DELIVERY
The F/IC intercepts the signal to the stock injectors, allowing the user to modify pulse-width by +/-100%. The F/IC is the only piggy-back system that can decrease injector pulse-width, allowing the user to drive larger aftermarket injectors* while still maintaining proper air / fuel ratios. This powerful system can also tap into the factory injector signal and work independently to drive up to six (6) additional injectors.
 

TIMING RETARD CONTROL
The F/IC has the ability to retard timing by intercepting and delaying the outputs from the cam and crank position sensors to the engine- with no adverse affect on applications equipped with variable cam timing. The F/IC can retard timing from the factory system based on engine RPM and load inputs.

SENSOR CALIBRATION & CONTROL
The F/IC can also be used to recalibrate / clamp the MAF sensor, eliminating common problems with non-boosted factory MAFs. The on-board MAP sensor allows for proper fueling in boosted applicatons.

 Fuel rail 

AEM High Volume Fuel Rails feature a 1/2-inch fuel bore capable of flowing enough fuel to support

most high-horsepower applications. This large bore also dampens back pulses created by larger injectors,

and works perfectly with stock injector sizes. An additional 1/8th NTP port is included to accommodate

a nitrous set up or fuel pressure gauge. A custom fuel line fitting is included for the factory fuel line,

and the ends of the rail are pre-tapped to accept -6 or -8 AN fittings for users with custom fuel lines

 

 Fuel filter

AEM's High Performance Fuel Filter for Honda/Acura is capable of supporting power applications up to 500 horsepower.

Double O-ring seals deliver added leak protection, and the unit's 6061-aluminum body provides excellent durability.

 The standard filter element is replaceable and available at most auto parts stores.
 

 Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator

 

Our Universal Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator includes many of the features found in our application-specific

regulator and can be remotely mounted on ANY application that utilizes a return hose.

This unit is capable of supporting enough fuel flow for engines in excess of 1000 horsepower.
 

 AEM Tru- Power 

 

AEM Tru- Power™ pulleys increase power by reducing the parasitic drag caused by factory accessory pulleys.

Our lightweight pulleys reduce rotating weight and are slightly oversized to maximize efficiency,

which nets more horsepower at the wheels. We guarantee our pulleys' belt tooth profiles to match O.E. specifications,

 eliminating any chance of premature belt wear. Comprehensive installation instructions,

replacement belts and AEM decals are included in every kit.


 

C2DI 

 

AEM's digital Multi-Channel C2DI is the lightest, smallest and most cost effective ignition module on the market. These units are available in four- and eight-channel configurations and are ideal for applications that utilize aftermarket stand-alone engine management systems.

AEM's digital Multi-Channel C2DI is the only capacitive discharge ignition systems available with dual capacitors. This enables the AEM C2DI to produce more spark energy and spark voltage per spark than any other available CDI unit. AEM's exclusive Twin Cap technology stores the energy for two distinct spark events and allows for full spark energy for each individual sparkplug, even on high-rpm distributed Mustangs.
